Calm, Colorful, and Fun Classroom Decor
Calm, Colorful, and Fun Classroom Decor
Hey, y'all! I'm so excited to introduce to you this fun and friendly classroom decor! I love creating new decor and this one of my favorites. The 21-22 school year has been HARD. And I felt the need for some color and fun for the next year. So this classroom decor set is full of goodies to make this the best year yet!
I wanted some calm but inviting colors that got my students (and my!) creative juices flowing. We live in a desert and it's not always very rainbow-y out here. I wanted some colors for this next school year that just screamed happiness!
I already have a lot of teal and lime green "stuff" for the classroom, so I went with colors that compliment that. This decor set includes:
- Two choices of calendar headers (with and without clipart)
- Calendar numbers
- Days of the week signs for organizing supplies
- Subject headers for posting standards or organizing supplies
- A welcome banner
- Voice level chart
- Student name tags for desks or cubbies
- Two sizes of table numbers
- FOUR choices for alphabet lines
- A number line with numbers 1-20
- Student jobs
- Plus editable pages to create your labels for things like book bins, student supplies, etc.
You can also grab just the alphabet line with the doodle art here if you want.
Every decor set I make includes a matching meet the teacher/back to school night resource. That first meet the family event can be chaotic, but with well placed signs and information for parents, it can all go much more smoothly.
This matching set includes a welcome sign, directions for sorting supplies, a place to gather and pass out information (plus the forms to get the info!), a classroom wish list with editable cards, editable teacher information cards, and treat toppers.
This set also has matching mindfulness posters (available separately) that I just love! Each page has two letters, and each letter has a mindfulness word with the definition and a visual example. They are just like the watercolor mindfulness posters only half sheet and different decor style.
I love set because it's so versatile! It could be used on its own as part of a colorful school theme, or paired with rainbows, tropical decor, travel "stuff," or any other number of things. It's fun and inviting, yet the colors are more muted and calming. Not 80's neon at all! Just...happy. I think we all can use some of that energy right now!
For the entire line of this decor, check it out on my TPT store here. There's almost 150 pages total of decor and resources to create that happy vibe in your classroom.
I hope you found some ideas you love for your classroom. I'm always adding new resources so be sure to follow my store for the latest news and check back here often.
Have a wonderful and happy week! I'll talk to you soon.

Phonics Digital Task Cards for Boom Learning™
Phonics Digital Task Cards for Boom Learning™
Hey, y'all! Last week, my students started putting in requests for me to make different Boom cards. Most of their requests were for math decks, but they also need some more phonics practice with certain digraphs, diphthongs and vowel teams. So, in the spirit of creation, I did just that!
One of my reading groups is really working on identifying the digraphs th, ch, sh, and wh. So I put together this simple little practice set. Students look at the picture and click on the beginning sound they hear. The best part is that Boom gives them immediate feedback so they know right away if they've got it right.
The next sets are designed to work on different vowel teams and diphthongs. Each set has ten cards with five pictures for each spelling pattern. Students look at the picture, then click on the spelling pattern that goes in that word.
Spelling patterns included in this bundle are: ai/ay, au/aw, ew/oo, oi/oy, ou/ow, and the vowel teams ee/ea. Next year, I'll be assigning the decks as we get to them in our phonics instruction. This year, I'm pushing them all out as a review since it's almost the end of our school year.
I hope you found some new ideas for your classroom. I'm always adding new resources so be sure to follow my store to stay up to date. I hope you have a wonderful week and I'll talk to you soon.
Spring and Summer Digital Task Cards for Math
Spring and Summer Digital Task Cards for Math
Hey, y'all. My students this year are all over digital task cards from Boom Learning. They're loving them so much that they've started putting in requests for new cards--even drawing out their visions and handing them to me to create! (I may have created some monsters here! Ha!)
Anyway, I love how much they're loving them and want to encourage their love of learning (and design!) so I've been busy this week creating more digital decks for them. The first request was a shark-themed addition practice. This set is 2-digit addition only, with no regrouping--perfect for the majority of my first graders.
When I said I could make that happen, they started really putting in their requests! Next on the list was a safari themed math set. I found some super cute zoo animals that did the trick for this one. Students simply solve and click on the correct answer. This set includes 2-digit addition and subtraction without regrouping.
Next up was some butterfly addition and subtraction practice (with numbers to 20), some springy skip counting, and some summer math practice. The butterfly set includes 20 task cards with mixed addition and subtraction practice. I designed these specifically for my lower firsties or higher kindergarteners.
The skip counting set includes counting by 2's, 3's, 5's, and 10's. Students type in the missing number in the sequence. And the summer addition and subtraction set includes 2-digit math problems without regrouping.
We're on spring break, but I have students who have logged into Boom Learning at home and are already messaging me with how excited they are to have these new sets. If my students are loving them this much, I'm sure yours will, too!
You can find these digital task cards and more at my Teachers Pay Teachers store. Be sure to follow me so you know when new resources hit the store.
I hope you found some great new ideas for your classroom! Have a wonderful week and I'll talk to you soon!
