Winter Vocabulary Write the Room Activities

Hey, y'all! Around here, my students are already gearing up for December holidays and the excitement is extremely contagious!  We've had so much fun with our Halloween and Thanksgiving vocabulary write the room activities, so I made a few more for Christmas, Hanukkah, and winter in general.  It's a great way to teach vocabulary and integrate the holidays into each subject all season long.

Every year, my students ask me how to spell all of these words related to December holidays, so this year we'll be using these write the room cards to help support our writing.

Each set has eight write the room vocabulary cards. Students read the word, then write it next to the matching picture. Cards can be used as a write the room, in a sensory bin, or simply placed in a center. You could even use all three sets for a massive winter scoot game!

We use write the rooms all year long in our classroom. They're perfect for brain breaks, fast finishers, or for students who struggle to stay in one place during reading centers.

You can find all of these write the room activities in my Teachers Pay Teachers store here, or grab the year long math and reading bundle here. I'm always adding new resources so be sure to follow me on TPT for all the latest and greatest.

Thanks for sticking with me to the bottom of this post. Just for you, go download this winter break Bingo freebie.  This no-prep game will make a fantastic way to reign in your littles just before winter break AND practice all those winter vocabulary words they just learned!
