October Writing Prompts

Hey, y'all! Fall is such a fun time in the classroom. The kids are starting to get the hang of things, pumpkins are everywhere, and pumpkin spice lattes are in hand (or salted caramel mochas if you're like me). These October writing prompts are just the right addition to your fall writing unit.

Students create simple poetry about the fall, share about their favorite fall things, and read the room with the seasonal write the room pages. There's a little something for everyone.

It even includes pages for holidays and events other than Halloween--like fire prevention month, World Teacher Day, and International Walk to School Day!

I love these writing units because they're so versatile: they can be used in a writing center, as the main focus of whatever writing skill you're working on, in your science lessons to integrate writing, or as a writing journal. And even the crafts are NO PREP! Woo hoo!

You can check out the full writing unit for October in my TPT store here. While you're there, be sure to follow me so you don't miss any new ideas, resources, or freebies. I hope you found some new ideas for your classroom. Have a wonderful week and I'll talk to you soon!

Stay cozy,
