Cute Halloween Ghost Craft

Cute ghost craft for fall and Halloween

Cute Halloween Ghost Craft

Hey, y'all! We've been reading all the Halloween books this month and we needed a little crafty something to go with them. So we put together this cute little Halloween ghost craft and it was such a big hit!

First, we started with some basic art supplies: tempera paint, paintbrushes, popsicle sticks, tagboard (but you could use card stock or thin cardboard), black markers (I used Sharpies and a warning about not drawing on ourselves!), and Starbucks drink sleeves for the ghosts.

I was already going to Starbucks anyway, might as well put those things to good use!

I cut the tagboard into squares big enough for the popsicle sticks to frame it. The kids painted the tag board with the tempera paint and let it dry while we went to recess and read a story. When we came back, we cut ghosts out of the Starbucks sleeves and glued them to our background.

Then, the kids drew faces on their ghosts and we used popsicle sticks to make a frame. They came out super cute! When they were dry, we hung them in the hallway and we got lots of compliments!

This little craft required almost no prep--just cutting the tagboard into squares. I showed them zero examples (because our lovely internet was out) and they nailed it! "Best day ever!"

Anyway, I hope this little craft works just as well for you. We'll probably be doing a similar one in December with Christmas trees. I can't wait to see how those turn out!

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend. I'll talk to you soon.

Stay cozy,
